Neuroscience News
Universities have pioneered neuroscience research for years. I have attached links to both the Indiana University School of Medicine’s neuro research information page as well as the University of Michigan’s. Both of these institutions are meaningful to me, for IU was where I completed my first research project and I currently attend Michigan. These two websites provide an overview of the work being done now in faculty labs and also ways you can get involved.

The Moral Status of Animals and Their Use in Research: A Philosophical Review
This article is a review of several arguments regarding the moral status of animals and its application to research settings from a philosophy standpoint. The author David DeGrazia is an assistant professor of philosophy at George Washington University. The arguments cover both sides of the issue, so if you’re into philosophy I would recommend this article.
This article explores the future of using animals in research. Alternative models and methods are being developed to eventually eliminate the need for lab animals. Currently, most alternative methods are not sophisticated enough, but the article sheds light on the developments being made in science today.
